Staff and Teachers

North Douglas Preschool has been continually blessed with excellent staff who are dedicated to their profession as Early Childhood Educators and to the ministry of the Preschool. Staff are licensed through the Ministry of Children and Families and seek to maintain a consistently high standard of care while continually improving the effectiveness of the program, through a systematic and ongoing process of professional education.  Each year teachers and classroom assistants attend many workshops and seminars and they confer regularly with childcare professionals and therapists regarding current best practices. In addition to their educational qualifications, the various members of our team can communicate in Cantonese, Mandarin, Spanish, and Korean - a real plus as the Preschool has since its inception attracted a rich cultural population! As a parent you may rest assured that your child will enjoy a positive, memorable and effective early learning experience at North Douglas Preschool.

The operations of our centre are managed by an administrative team.  Rachel Hogarth is the Manager/Administrator, Pastor Rod Fair is the Operations Supervisor and Board Liasson, Rose Jellema is the Daycare Supervisor, and Donna Lambier is the Infant Toddler Supervisor.

We are currently looking for a qualified ECE teacher.  Contact the preschool office with a resume if you are interested.

For an ECE teacher wishing to upgrade to ITE we do offer some help with courses and practicum.  Please contact the office for more information about training opportunities.
