North Douglas Preschool has operated out of North Douglas Church since 1997. The church is conveniently located on a quiet residential street close to the Pat Bay (Highway 1) and McKenzie Avenue intersection. Separate entrances and a large parking lot make pick-up and drop-off times safe and easy. Bus routes within walking distance include the #31 Glanford, #51 U Vic/Langford, #70 Swartz Bay/ Downtown Express, #71 Sydney, and #75 Saanichton/Royal Oak.
Premises
Four large, bright and well-equipped classrooms have been dedicated to the Preschool programs for children aged 2.5-5 years: (see photo gallery) the Noah's Ark room, the Rainbow Room, the Sunshine Room, and the Forest Room
All programs have daily access to a full-size gymnasium, and outdoor spaces including natural play-yards, a village, a fort and sandbox, gardening and riding areas.
Preschool concerts and award ceremonies are held in the church's main auditorium.
Hours of Operation
Infant Toddler Day Care: 8 am to 4 pm
Group Care Daycare: 7:30 am to 5 pm
Morning Preschool: 8:45 am to 11:45 am
Afternoon Preschool: 12 pm to 3 pm
